May Mayhem!

Ok, it wasn't really May Mayhem after all; it just sounded good together. Actually, we had an incredible month and loved every minute of it. It started with a trip to Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. We had set some goals as a family and hit them at the end of April. So, on May 10th, we headed over for a great day at the park. It's one of my favorite amusement parks in the whole country, beating out Disneyland and Disneyworld. It's got everything, from whale and dolphin shows to kid theme parks to wild rollercoasters. I love it.

The kids especially loved the bumper cars, the whales, the dolphins, the spinny rides, the swing rides, the rollercoasters, the seals, the water park...Ok, they loved it all. It was so fun to see all of their smiles and hear all their squeals when they'd see a ride they loved.

Aspen and Kyler driving the jeep! Watch out!

Ryden and Daddy on the bumper cars.

The kids getting completely soaked in the water fountain.

Jordan chewing up our schedule...YIKES! But, heck, we're on vacation. Who needs a schedule?!?

After waiting in line for what seemed like forever, Dad, Kyler and Aspen finally got on this spinning ride. Once they were all buckled in, however, they announced that the ride was having technical difficulties (ie, the attendant needed a break) and they closed the ride. Everyone had to get off, but we were sure to get a mock motion picture before they did!

We had such a blast. That night we camped in Petaluma, Ca. Kyler's birthday was on the 12th and his wish for his family party was to go camping. We had a blast with S'mores and Hot Dogs and a big campfire.

On Kyler's actual birthday, Jordan started crawling. About a week later, Enoch decided to teach him to say "Daddy". I kept hearing him in the other room, coaxing him into saying his name. Finally, he came and got me and here's the result:

Just a picture I couldn't resist sharing. Since he's starting to feed himself, mealtime gets pretty messy and is usually followed by a quick sink bath. He's such a cute little ham!

Kyler's school did a penny drive recently for charity. All the kids were supposed to bring in all their pennies over the course of a month or so. They had a goal of like 15000 pennies, or something like that. If they hit their goal, they got a "Crazy Hair" day. Kyler actually went to school like this, but ended up having "normal" hair compared to his schoolmates, who came with mohawks, dyed hair, etc. Needless to say, many of those classmates are now bald as a result!

And, on the last day of the month, Aspen lost another tooth!! This time, she kept it around long enough to get it under her pillow. She's proud to say she's lost as many teeth as Kyler now.

May has been a great month. We feel so blessed. Our design business has taken off and we've been so blessed in our TeamBuilders business as well. It's amazing what happens when you set goals, work hard, stay open minded and have faith. We're now getting ready for our move to Denver in July. I have to admit, it's been a challenge trying to find a place to live long distance, but we're confident we'll find the right match for us in time. We're so excited to finally live somewhere we plan on calling home. We've been moving every 2 years or so since we got married and both of us are excited to settle in.

Well, that's it for May. I'm sure June will bring more fun and more crazy pictures!! Have a great month!
